OB Appointment @ 27 weeks

The babies and I had an OB appointment last Thursday @ 27w. We started bi-weekly appointments since we reached the 24 week mark. It was pretty routine as far as appointments go.

We went over the last ultrasound report, which was done when I was 25w 0d.
The babies were both head down. Both of the placenta's are nicely out of the way of the cervix, which by the way is still a long 3.8 cm....YAY! Baby A (GIRL) was measuring 25w 5d, had a heart rate of 146 bpm, with an estimated weight of 783 grams (1.7 lbs). Baby B (BOY) was measuring 26w 0d, had a heart rate of 148 bpm, with an estimated weight of 900 grams (1.9 lbs)

The OB weighed me....I have gained approximately 17 lbs to date. She measured the belly...I am measuring approximately 33 cm (6 weeks ahead). My blood pressure was great, and overall things are looking good. She also listened to the babies heart rates during the appointment. Baby A had a heart rate of 147 bpm and Baby B had a heart rate of 159 bpm.....yay for strong babies.

We talked again about the signs of preterm labour that I should watch for, confirmed that I hadn't had any of them, and talked about the different options that could present themselves during labour. She guesstimates that I will be baking these little peanuts until 37 weeks, and that she will end up having to induce labour. I hope that she is right, but for now I am just taking things week by week, and even sometimes day by day.
