I had another ultrasound of the babies on April 7th. They did the ultrasound to check the length of my cervix, to preform a biophysical profile, and check the overall growth and position of the babies. These ultrasounds are getting more and more uncomfortable, every time I have another. I think that this is partially due to the fact that I am a petite person and don't have much fat on the ole' rib cage and partially due to the fact that there are 2 peanuts in there with their parts smushed into any spare room that they can find, even if it is in my rib cage!
Everything looked good as usual. Fluid levels were good, cervix was still long and closed.
Baby A, bless her, is still in the head down position, with her spine going up the outer, right side of the belly. Her arms and legs are in the center of my belly on the right of my belly button. Her heart rate was good and they are estimating her weight to be approximately 3lbs 9 ozs
Baby B, was still breech when the ultrasound was done. His head is in the center area of my rib cage, by the sternum. His spine goes down the center of my belly along the left side of my belly button, with his arms and legs towards the outer, left side of my belly. His heart rate was also good and they estimated his weight to be approximately 4lbs 4 ozs.
I am glad that the peanuts seem to be liking it in there, and continue to look good. I hope that they will decide to continue baking in there for a little while longer!
